Ever heard of social impact? No? Well then, watch out:
Social Impact is a nationally active non-profit organisation consisting of a "mother ship" in Berlin and numerous "satellites" in different cities and regions. Each satellite is dedicated to different key topics, works with different cooperation partners and has differently composed teams with diverse expertise and interests. Overall, SOCIAL IMPACT stands for the topic of social innovation - which they either create and implement themselves or support others in implementing.
Sounds exciting, doesn't it? SOCIAL IMPACT answered a few questions for us, so here we go:
What does SOCIAL IMPACT do and for whom?
In Bremen, we are strongly dedicated to the topic of start-up support for projects oriented towards the common good (so-called social enterprise) and the topic in general Alternative management (common good-orientated, solidarity-based, sustainable, ecological, social, sustainable, regenerative... many terms can be used for alternative). For us, these are all people and organisations that critically question the currently prevailing (profit and growth-driven) economic conditions by developing solutions to social challenges and implementing them using (healthy) economic methods.
We see ourselves as a contact point for exchange and networking on the subject of Sustainable founding and sustainable business in Bremen. For this
Which offers are particularly interesting for the vision culture community?
We offer needs-orientated, honest and encouraging start-up support that starts where the respective start-up projects need it. We try to avoid unnecessary hard work, but instead provide assistance where support is wanted and needed. This can look very different.
As our target group Social enterprise We have described them again on our homepage as follows:
Social enterprise, social entrepreneurship, social business - diverse terms, diverse definitions. We don't want to be tied to any of them, as the sector is very heterogeneous. You correspond to our target group Social enterprise, when:
The chosen legal form (e.g. association or limited company), your financing structure (e.g. foundation funds or paying customer) etc. are not decisive for whether you are considered a social enterprise or not. Rather, it depends on your founding idea, your understanding of founding and your founding attitude
And what is your vision?
Establishing, celebrating and cultivating economic practices that emancipate instead of oppress, regenerate instead of degenerate, give instead of take,.... Here in Bremen, we work together with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve this.
And here is a brief overview of who is actually behind these words and plans: Eva, Hanna, Lisa and Uwe
