Hi, I'm Franziska Herrmann – or just Franzi.
As a graphic designer, illustrator and 2D animator, I create with heart and conviction.
For me, sustainability and equality are not just values, but a philosophy of life. Building my freelance business on this basis was the logical consequence.
In my work, I place great emphasis on environmentally friendly and resource-efficient design. I conduct an eco-briefing with my clients to jointly find the most sustainable solution for every project. In doing so, I rely on recycled paper and work with local printers to keep the carbon footprint as small as possible. Furthermore, I make sure to use technical equipment until the end of its lifespan and prefer data transfer via platforms like „WeTransfer“ to avoid unnecessary storage consumption.
Having grown up in the border triangle of Southern Germany, my path eventually led me to Bremen via a degree in graphic design in Pforzheim (B.A. Visual Communication) and years in Karlsruhe – where I taught at the University of Applied Sciences, founded a book publishing house for poetry slam authors, and worked in agencies. In 2008, I got to know and love the city on a hitchhiking tour. Since 2014, I have called it my home and enjoy every day in this wonderful city with its fantastic people.
I am convinced that design carries responsibility. That is why I continually work on making my processes even more sustainable, and I welcome suggestions and exchanging ideas with like-minded people.
