{"id":2720,"date":"2023-08-28T13:00:12","date_gmt":"2023-08-28T11:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vskultur.de\/?p=2720"},"modified":"2025-09-26T15:26:40","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T13:26:40","slug":"fast-forward","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vskultur.de\/en\/fast-forward\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for entries for the Fast Forward Art Grant 2024\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Made possible by the generous donation of a philanthropic family from Bremen, Visionskultur is awarding monthly financial support in the form of a scholarship totalling 10,000 euros. The scholarship aims to provide an additional impetus for the promotion of the Bremen art scene and to enable the winner to develop new ideas, concentrate on new ventures or successfully complete existing projects. The scholarship is aimed at visual artists and can be used for the development as well as the continuation or finalisation of a project. Project completion is desirable, but not required. The primary focus of the scholarship is the support of talented artists from Bremen. The only requirement is participation in a concluding discussion on the impact of the scholarship, featuring a presentation of the work produced. 1,000 euros will be awarded to each of the second and third-place winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bursary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The amount of funding for first place is 10,000 euros, which will be paid in instalments over a calendar year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Second and third place will each receive 1,000 euros as a one-off financial support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The award ceremony will take place at the Creative Hub Bremen and includes an interview with the winner as part of a discussion with the jury and with the involvement of the press<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In mid-2024, a public panel discussion with the scholarship holder will be organised on the impact of the funding at the Creative Hub Bremen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In February 2025, a short substantive report on the artistic work and development during the scholarship period, along with at least three photos of the result, must be submitted. This also applies to the second and third place winners. A detailed report on the use of the funds is not required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application criteria:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The closing date for applications is 15 October 2023 at 23:59. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications must be submitted exclusively via the application form on this page (further down)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must have completed an artistic training programme or be able to demonstrate comparable professional artistic experience in their field over a number of years through work samples and their artistic curriculum vitae.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must live in Bremen or have the main focus of their artistic activity here.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Criteria for the awarding of a scholarship are, in addition to the aforementioned requirements, primarily the quality of previous artistic work as well as the quality and creativity and the expected impact of the planned projects\/focal points.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The portfolio to be submitted comprises a maximum of 5 pages. There are no further formal requirements for the compilation of the portfolio. However, it should present the quality of the artistic work in a meaningful and comprehensible way. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications from multiple people are possible. However, funding will be provided to only one person. It must therefore be made clear in the application which person is the main contact person for the funding. In the event of a win, this person will receive the funding. \u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only complete and formally correct applications will be accepted and included in the selection process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications are accepted in German or English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important consents: <\/strong>By submitting an application, participants declare\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>their consent to the use of their submitted works following the competition for digital documentation on the Visionskultur website and in the weekly newsletter as well as on social media\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>your confirmation that you hold the relevant image rights for submitted pictures\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>your consent to the use of the image material for promotional purposes\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>consent to the use of personal data.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you win: your attendance at the prize-giving event<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For participation in a public interim discussion <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For the submission of a short final report<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enquiries regarding the application process can be sent by email to fastforward@vskultur.de.
