Last Friday at the University of Bremen, we offered a workshop designed to give students precisely what is often lost between theory and entering the workplace: confidence, direction – and the feeling of being able to actively shape their own path.
A quiet start and a room full of curiosity
At 09:30, we started the day with a group of ten students. Still a bit tired, but highly interested, an atmosphere quickly developed like the one we know from our workshops: open, respectful and full of ideas. Exactly this space – for asking questions, trying things out and reflecting – is the heart of our work at Visionskultur.
What we have worked on together
The focus was on a topic that is often underestimated: psychological safety in the first job.
How do you make a good start? What role do communication, self-efficacy and positioning within the team play? And how can you actively help shape the framework conditions?
We explored these questions together using practical tools, brief insights and plenty of discussion. A particular highlight was the honest openness with which the participants shared their own experiences and uncertainties – exactly what makes formats like this so valuable.
Over the course of the hour and a half, small „aha“ moments kept arising—such as how strongly one's own mindset shapes the first few weeks on the job, or how helpful simple communication routines can be in building clarity and trust.
This immediate feedback shows every time why we love doing workshops like this: they empower.

The workshop was described by many as one of the highlights of the entire Career Week. A fine piece of evidence of just how relevant the topic is for students shortly before entering the working world.
For us, this workshop was not only a professional contribution, but also a moment of connection – with people who are curious, internationally minded and full of motivation as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.
Even though the Career Week overall attracts only a small number of participants interested in starting a business, formats like this are precisely the place where we want to have an impact: right where topics such as self-efficacy, empowerment and shaping the future play a central role.
