On 25 March 2026, a practical workshop focusing on the topic of electronic invoicing took place in the new VSK CoLab by Visionskultur in Bremen city centre. In the new premises of the CoLab, which as part of the Creative Hub offers an open space for exchange, collaboration and innovation, founders came together to examine current requirements and developments in accounting. A topic that unsettles many freelancers, founders and small business owners was examined and made tangible in the workshop by Roswitha Galetzkie.
In the workshop, the growing importance of the e-invoice from a legal perspective was first examined. The participants were given an overview of why electronic invoices are increasingly becoming mandatory and what requirements come with this. A particularly important aspect was the clear distinction from the traditional digital invoice, which is sent electronically but does not automatically meet the structured requirements of an e-invoice.
Practical examples demonstrated the benefits of switching to e-invoices – ranging from more efficient processes to improved traceability in bookkeeping.
Another key focus was on practical implementation: how an e-invoice is created and which components are strictly mandatory. It was explained step by step which information must be included and which formats comply with the legal requirements.
Participants were not only able to take away theoretical knowledge, but also develop concrete approaches for their own practice. The workshop thus tied in with Visionskultur's goal of supporting founders and projects in their development through practice-oriented formats and equipping them with helpful tools.
In addition to the professional content, the main focus was on personal interaction. In an open atmosphere, participants used the opportunity to network with one another, share experiences and discuss individual questions relating to tax, invoicing and bookkeeping.
This very sense of community is a central part of Visionskultur: over 350 members are already part of the network and benefit from mutual exchange as well as the diverse range of workshops and events.
The workshop at the VSK CoLab once again demonstrated just how important accessible, practical educational programmes are for founders and the self-employed. The combination of expert input, concrete recommendations for action and personal exchange made the event a valuable catalyst for all participants.
