I am Alejandra Olarte, Colombian and ambassador for the community Latinas in Germany – Bremen. I have been representing this community in Bremen for 2 years, but our mission as a network of Latin American women has existed for over 10 years.
My goal is to create spaces for connection, support and personal growth – for women who, like me, are rewriting their story far from home.

Latinas in Alemania Bremen is a community of Latin American women that has been active in Bremen for 2 years.
Our goal is to network migrant women with one another, foster mutual support, and create spaces for exchange, visibility and self-care.
We organise monthly meetings, cultural events, creative workshops and discussion groups on topics such as integration, motherhood, work, entrepreneurship and emotional wellbeing.
In addition, we offer informal peer-to-peer psychological support to make the emotional impacts of migration visible and to create safe support networks.
We especially support women with their own projects and offer them spaces where they can showcase their products, share experiences and strengthen their ideas within the community.
We actively promote integration into German society through cultural activities, participation in local events, and cooperation with institutions such as Visionskultur.
