Do you know the Bremer Escape roomsNo? Well, it's about time then! Our new community member "LOCKED Adventures" promises thrilling experiences, as exciting adventures await you at Escape Room Bremen. In this game, participants have to solve various puzzles in order to escape from a locked room, each featuring a different theme. Teamwork and creativity are the name of the game.
Have you become just as curious as us? Fortunately, Daniel Brock has answered a few interesting questions for us.
Tell me, dear Daniel: Who are you and what do you do?
I'm Daniel, a youthful 28 years old, and since early 2022 I've been running the LOCKED Escape Rooms site in Bremen. I came into this position through an internal application after my Master's degree, during which I had already worked part-time at LOCKED. My responsibilities range from HR matters and marketing initiatives to bookkeeping and the maintenance of the rooms – basically all the business and administrative aspects you can imagine.
Do you work in a team? Would you like to tell us something about yourselves? How did you find each other? How do you work together?
I have always been a great fan of flat hierarchies, short decision-making paths and a general "startup vibe". I found these attributes at LOCKED and in our two young managing directors about two years ago. I came to LOCKED itself through two colleagues with whom I had previously worked at another escape room. Since our employees are mostly students, the day-to-day business is also very pleasant to manage with our quite young team.
What is your vision?
In a general sense, certainly, by always being right up to date with our escape rooms, online games and soon-to-be-launched outdoor tours in terms of the standard within the German escape room industry. In this way, we provide our customers with the greatest possible analog team-puzzling fun that has made escape rooms generally so appealing and well known. Furthermore, through various charitable projects, we aim to playfully draw attention to social issues, support relevant organisations and sustainably raise awareness of these topics.
Regarding vision culture and the creative hub, we would like to get more involved in Bremen's wider creative sector. In the medium term, we are planning a project group focusing on the combination of AI and escape rooms—that is sure to be exciting!
What do you enrich the community with?
We are happy to give members of the community tips and inspiration for the further development process. We have also successfully collaborated locally with Bremen's economic development agency (WFB) and remain in contact, and we are happy to provide support and networking here!
