Opening of the Creative Hub Bremen

A new centre for ideas, exchange and collaboration

With the opening of the new Creative Hub Bremen on 16 April 2026 at Pelzerstraße 40, Bremen city centre has gained a central location for innovation, creativity and start-ups. A vibrant workspace and meeting place has been created in the former premises of the citizens' service centre, bringing together founders, creatives, projects and initiatives.

The Creative Hub is much more than a classic co-working space. It sees itself as a dynamic innovation ecosystem in which ideas are not only generated, but can also be further developed and implemented. Different spaces – ranging from co-working areas, workshop rooms and studios for photo and video work to exhibition spaces, a fashion lab, a podcast studio and event areas – create the foundation for creative work and interdisciplinary exchange.

„With the Creative Hub, we have created a place where ideas can grow quickly and collaboration is at the heart of everything,“ says Marc Fucke, Managing Director of Visionskultur. „This is how innovative ideas and start-ups are born, which find support here and enrich our city.“

The opening ceremony also reflected precisely this ambition. Hundreds of guests from Bremen’s start-up, cultural and creative scenes came together to discover the new space and connect with one another. In her opening speech, State Councillor for Economic Affairs Maike Frese emphasised the importance of the Creative Hub for Bremen’s future and highlighted how vital Visionskultur and its work and community are for innovation, collaboration and new ideas.

Following the official speeches, numerous guided tours of the Creative Hub were offered. In smaller and larger groups, the guests were able to get to know the diverse potential uses and gain a direct impression of how work and creation will take place here in future. The high demand for the tours demonstrated the strong interest and curiosity in the Creative Hub as a central start-up and transfer hub right in the city centre.

After the official part, the event transitioned into an open exchange. DJ Smiles from Bremen Next provided the musical accompaniment for the evening and created a pleasant, lively atmosphere. Amidst conversations, music and initial networking, it quickly became clear what potential lies within the Creative Hub.

Initial voices also emerged from the community itself:

„You can tell straight away that this is a place where people enjoy spending time and getting chatting with one another.“

„The diversity of people and opportunities is impressive – something really special can be created here.“

„It is impressive that the Visionskultur team transformed this creative hub from a building site into a centre of innovation within three weeks.“

„A space that is open and inspires you to put ideas into practice right away.“

The opening thus marks the starting point for a wide range of formats that will take place in the new hub – from accessible workshops and community events to targeted support services for founders. The aim is also to establish a place where people come together, learn from one another and shape the future together.

The Creative Hub Bremen is open – we look forward to your visit!
